Contemplating Plays for Next Semester

As the semester ends, I find myself contemplating what I want the direction of the plays for next semester to be. We have already had a request for a play that was written and produced by a former faculty member Boycott: Pulaski, TN and the Legacy of the Ku Klux Klan. We will be performing this in the later half of the spring. However, I wanted to do something a little lighter than this semester or what we will be performing in the late spring.

So I have decided to do several one-act plays because I think that it will be good for the students to start getting their feet wet on the stage but also to give them the ability to build their acting muscles. I am contemplating which plays to do, but I know for certain I want to do comedy and to give as many people opportunity to be involved.

I have thought of doing The Boor and/or The Proposal by Anton Chekov; however, I am worried with the small natures of the cast, it would not be suitable. So I am open to suggestions from others. I would like to do comedies, but I am open to other ideas as well.
